Sanctity of Human Life Sunday (SOHLS) is recognized on the third Sunday in January remembering the anniversary of Roe vs. Wade.
It is hard to believe that we are just over a year removed from the Dobbs’ decision and the overturning of Roe! We have spent decades speaking up for life and at times, find ourselves in amazement that June 24, 2022, actually happened. We have celebrated this decision and made great strides in the stance for life across our country. You helped make this happen with your prayers, your service, and your intentional efforts to see that moms, dads, and babies would be given a chance at life.
SOHLS is a month we continue to acknowledge that every life matters. Your church or group can be a voice for the unborn by partnering with First Choice. You can participate in the Bottles for Babies campaign, host a First Choice for Women speaker, hold a baby shower or even a baby shower tree (similar to the Christmas Angel trees) on behalf of First Choice, hand out informational flyers, volunteer, or make a financial contribution.
First Choice exists to reach people who believe abortion is their best option, to educate all individuals about their choices, to share the truth about God’s Grace, and to support them through whatever decision they make, in a non-judgmental loving environment.
We do not receive any government funding and are completely dependent upon the financial support of individuals, businesses, and churches to help us provide our life-affirming services free of charge. If we work together we can Change the World One Life at a Time and make an eternal difference in East Central Indiana.
Over 35 years ago, a group of 18 people from the Muncie area took a stand by providing the initial financial foundation for the pregnancy resource center formerly known as Heart to Heart. Today, many church congregations and organizations take a stand by getting involved with First Choice through volunteer opportunities, financial support, events, baby bottle fundraisers, and recognizing the Sanctity of Human Life during the month of January.
As a resource, posters, bulletin inserts, and videos are offered at no charge and can be downloaded from the links below. In addition, our newsletters, are available under the “About ” section of this website. First Choice for Women will also provide a speaker or representative for your church or organization.
