Halteman Village Baptist Church
Our church spotlight this quarter highlights Halteman Village Baptist Church, located at 4100 N. Oakwood Avenue in Muncie. Founded in 1960, the church has been a staple in northwest Muncie for almost 60 years. Weekly services include Sunday school at 9:30 am and Worship Service at 10:45 am. Their mission is to “Glorify God, share Christ’s hope and equip believers in our community and in our world.”
All About Anderson & Madison County
The rains have passed, the warmer weather has set in, and things are buzzing at the Anderson and Madison County First Choice for Women office!
As we approach our two year anniversary in Anderson, the growing clientele has us bustling like busy little bees and feeling the need to expand center hours!
Client Connection
As Center Director, I have the privilege of training all new volunteers before they serve at First Choice for Women. During the training sessions I enjoy hearing the various reasons participants feel led to volunteer at a pregnancy resource center.
Volunteer Spotlight
Barbara Kollath volunteers several hours every week at our Anderson/Madison County Center. She wears many hats within the ministry and is always eager to step into any role required to serve the women and children in our community.
Kings Academy
Students from Mrs. White's Home Economics class at King's Academy Christian School took part in “Servant Safari” week. This project teaches students ways to serve the community.
A Message from the Chair
I saw the movie, “Unplanned” with my husband shortly after it was released. I have since thought a lot about the workers in the abortion industry and the things they see on a daily basis.
SERVE and Service at First Choice for Women
Union Chapel Ministries’ SERVE week is always a wonderful blessing to First Choice for Women! The program provided, 3,514 diapers, 173 baby wipes, 147 bottles of shampoo and 130 tubes of baby ointment!
All About Abstinence
Spring semester ended early in June and most students are out enjoying their summer break - but they will be back on the school bus before you know it! In fact, the fall semester will begin before our next newsletter is published.

Janet Powers has been a volunteer with First Choice for Women in Muncie since 2016. She serves in the ministry as a ParentCare Mentor and a post-abortion recovery program leader.

In our last newsletter, we described the difference between abstinence-only education and comprehensive sex education. The article may have initially caused some confusion about what program we use in our local schools, so I wanted to take a moment to clarify.

First Choice for Women is excited to welcome our new Office Manager, Kailee McKnight!
Born in Tennessee, Kailee and her parents moved to Alexandria, Indiana when she was in the first grade. Graduating from Alexandria High School, this Madison County native has a heart for helping others.

Life today can be difficult to navigate. We live in a world that is in turmoil, hearing voices that tell us what is right and what is wrong, yet when we see it through a Biblical worldview, these perspectives are proven faulty. We are divided in our towns, cities, counties, states, and our country.

United Way Gives
Did you know that First Choice for Women can receive donations through the United Way? All you have to do is designate the funds when pledging through your company’s United Way campaign drive.
Church Spotlight - Grace Baptist Church
Our Church Spotlight this quarter is Grace Baptist Church in Muncie. Located on the corner of South Nebo and River Road, Grace Baptist was founded in 1963. Rory Bond became Senior Pastor in 2012 after the retirement of Dr. Glenn Collins, who served in that position for over 45 years.
Community Connections
Many thanks to the Ladies Fellowship of True Light Baptist Church in Muncie for hosting a baby shower to benefit First Choice for Women. It was a great night of food fun and fellowship!
